Tabuco Central School hosted the Division Araling Panlipunan Bicol River Cruise and Forum held July 28, 2018 from 8:00 – 5:00 in the afternoon.
The activity aims to; Capacitate Araling Panlipunan teachers on the historical, cultural and economic value of the Bicol River; Learn the possible environmental threats and the different programs and projects of LGU Naga for the protection/rehabilitation of the River; Strengthen Contextualization and Localization through Community Immersion and preparation of localized instructional materials on Bicol River.
Mr. Alec Francis Santos the chief of Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (ACTO) and Mr. Marvin Sagun, an Environmental Specialist of CENRO were the invited speakers. Mrs. Gloria S. Boayes MT II gave the welcome remarks in behalf of Principal Juliet Curva of Tabuco Central School.
Imee Bismonte of Tinago Central School was the emcee. Gemma Grecia AP Coordinator of Balatas Elementary School led the opening prayer. The Pambansang Awit was conducted by Maria Dina Chavez AP coordinator of Pacol Elementary School and Sir Jarme Taumatorgo EPS, gave the inspirational message and orientation on IMs preparation. He challenged the participants to share the inputs to the students so that they will understand fully the importance of saving our environment specifically the Naga and Bicol River.
After taking lunch, courtesy of Tabuco Central School, teacher Marilyn Nebreja the over-all coordinator of the activity, orients the participants before the actual river cruise. Personnel of Philippine Coast Guard escorted the group for safety.
