The Department of Education, Naga City through the AP-CID in partnership with Naga City Government, spearheaded this annual event for the school children of the City with this year’s the theme: Isulong…Tamang Pag-aaruga sa Lahat ng Bata.
Principal Fe Hermosura and the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Mac Mariano Elementary School warmly welcomed the participants from all the elementary schools of the City Division for the 5th Kakakian Festival sa Maogmang Lugar.
The activity was conducted on November 27, 2018 pursuant to Division Memo No. 282 s. 2018, emphasizing children’s rights by showcasing their various talents and skills in the following areas; kawat aki, cancion Bikol, modern and folkdances, quiz contests, doodle art and poster making.
Various schools emerged champions in the array of events laid out by DepEd Naga: Con. Grande Elementary School – Doodle Art; Naga Central School 1 – Poster Making; Carolina Elementary School – Map Reading (primary); Panicuason Elementary School – Map Reading (intermediate); Pacol Elementary School – La Ciudad de Nueva Caceres Quiz; Tinago Central School – Current Events; Sta. Cruz Elementary School – Dama; Tabuco Central School – Sungka; Tinago Central School – Kadang-kadang; Naga Central School 1 – Tug of War; Balatas Elementary School – Sack Race (primary); Sta. Cruz Elementary School – Sack Race (intermediate); Julian B. Meliton Elementary School – Sack Race (LSEN); Don Manuel I. Abella Elementary School – Folk Dance; Triangulo Elementary School – Cancion Bikol and Naga Central School II – Hip Hop Dance Exhibition.
