“The foundation of state is the education of the youth.” – Diogenes

“The foundation of the state is the education of the youth.” True to the idealism of this maxim, the real future of our state is in the hands of our youths and their education. Coming from the aftermath of the unprecedented covid-19, batch 2022 is the 1st batch to march the aisle with greater hopes and aspiration.  Towards the year, the Alternative Learning System (ALS) of Naga City Division successfully ended School Year 2021-2022 with its Completion Ceremonies with the theme “Gradweyt ng K to 12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok” held on August 27, 2022 at 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon at the Robinsons Place, Naga City.

ALS Graduation year 2022, commenced with morning Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Felipe B. Culvera III, followed by Completion Ceremonies in the afternoon. The ceremonies started with the processional of ALS passers, parents, guardians, Barangay Officials, ALS teachers, ALS Implementers, Facilitators, Guest speaker, DepEd Officials and Guests; Ms. Carina B.         Part of the ceremonies, sparks an inspiration from the 34 MNWD employees-completers as they approached the stage with a remarking applause, being the first batch of ALS graduates through their program Performance Improvement for Personal Efficacy (PIPE), taking a strong stand that education matters to everyone regardless of age and condition.

With our formidable guest speaker. Ms. Maria Cresencia Vanessa K. Festejo an ALS Passer year 2014, spoke with clarity in her message and encouragement to the graduates leaving a deeper sense of purpose in very one. As she asserted to “Dream deep and never give up.” Education is a continuous process and age is never a hindrance to achieve one’s educational goal towards the fulfilment of greater dreams.

Through the collaboration of DepEd, service providers and Local Government Unit, inclusive education is surely attained without reservation. Our completers whose lives came from various incomprehensible stories, pave their journey to ALS as it ignites inspiration.
